I am working here as a Park Host and Dianna is still working in Austin for the IRS.

Lockhart State Park is the only golf course in this area so it is a big draw from several neighboring towns. It is a 9 hole par 35 course. Taking care of the greens and fairways is my primary duty here. I sure thought I was done mowing grass when we sold the house. Was I wrong there. One of the perks for working here is we can play as much golf as we want. We have played a few times this summer.

This summer we had a lot of winged visitors.

Along with the hummers we had some other critters visit us.
Looking at you looking at me
Wolf Spider
Lots of other wildlife in the park that I didn't get a pictures of as I seem to leave the camera in the rig too often. We did get to see some of the many wild flowers and plant life in the park. There is one plant we avoided completely.
Poison Ivy
In May we took a trip to San Diego for a visit with my cousin and all her family. We did some touring in Marina Del Ray and had a wonderful lunch of local mexican cuisine on the beach. West coast life style is grand.
You can have the traffic
Then we made our way to Laughlin, NV for a visit with my sister. We had a great time there with a boat ride on the river and fun in the casino.
Entering NV
No traffic here
In November we did a short trip to Dickinson, TX to visit Tommy an old friend from my early years in TX. After that we went to Aransas Pass, TX for a visit with our friends Jim & Shirley. We had many hours of Pegs & Jokers to prove the men rule supreme at the game.
Till next time.
Haven't heard from you two for awhile. I think Dianna is getting the short end of the stick. Your spot is gorgeous.
